Women in older age brackets are also more likely to respond to ads. Yet, there is still a reception from male users, with those aged 18-24 clicking advertisements a significant amount. 

Overall, brands marketing to customers 35 and under and those targeting women, especially women aged 18-25, will benefit from marketing their products on TikTok.

How can I advertise on TikTok?

There are various different ways TikTok ads can be platformed. However, some countries dont have access to certain ad formats, and there is also a certain family of apps TikTok owns that can platform different ad formats. 

In-feed ads

TikTok’s “For You Page” is where users consume most of the content held on the app. The page, which can have one scrolling for hours on end, is able to be used for advertising purposes, with ads able to be placed within feeds. They run as a 5-60 second full-screen video. The video will have an ad display image, brand or app name and ad text. They are self-service ads that can be created through Ad Manager interface.

Image Ads

Image ads are only run in TikTok’s News Feed apps; BuzzVideo, TopBuzz and Babe. This image adds includes simply an image, brand or app name and ad text.

How Can I Begin Using TikTok Ads?

To begin using TikTok ads, you need to head over to TikTok Ads Manager. If you haven’t created a TikTok Ads Manager account, you need to make sure that you have done that before.

Once you have created an ad manager account, you can begin a campaign and set a budget. We recommended setting a campaign name that is easily recognizable to your team and is up to 512 characters.

You’ll then name your ad group and select placements, target your audience and get creating your ads. These can be easily tracked, and analytics are available to see the reach of your campaign.
