To search for which hashtags are trending currently. Open the app and tap “discover” on the bottom of the screen. This page will show you previous videos tagged with trending hashtags.

Popular hashtags are better for reaching a broader audience, while simple is better for targeting a specific audience, who are more likely to be interested and engaged with your content. Just because a hashtag is popular doesn’t mean you should use it!

On TikTok and like most other social media platforms, consistency is key to gaining your followers. Ideally, you should post at least once per day. If you start consistently posting and have gained your followers, you can cut it down to a few times a week; however, some of your followers may not like that.

You need to have a creative flair to stand out on TikTok. So why don’t you try to create your own trend that maybe your followers can join in to spread awareness of it to the wider TikTok community?

If you’re looking to gain followers, you have to identify the trends at that moment in time and join in on them.  Just like any other social media, don’t fake being someone who you are not. Your followers won’t like that!

Everyone likes different content on TikTok. For example, some people are on deep TikTok, and some people are on gym TikTok. So whatever content you interact with, you will get more of. That’s just how TikTok’s algorithm works.
