If you’ve read our last newsletter, or spent any time online in the past few months, you’ll know about the advancements AI has made in design – and pretty much everything else.

Whilst we don’t believe that AI can truly replace human imagination, we acknowledge that it can make some jobs a lot easier. From marketers to mechanical engineers, AI can benefit many people wanting to cut corners and focus on creativity.

In the world of project management, AI is making leaps and bounds. If you’re a project manager looking to save yourself time in the working day, or if you want to know if you’re out of a job, read on.

So, how can AI transform project management?

With a job like project management that’s all about efficiency, it’s no wonder that time-saving tech can greatly improve accuracy and speed for completing projects. By using AI to automate mundane tasks, the project manager can focus on strategy.

AI can be used to:

  • Schedule meetings
  • Assign tasks
  • Track progress
  • Streamline communication
  • Anticipate potential problems with predictive analytics
  • Provide insights into customer data
  • Budget.

This can then help the project manager to:

  • Improve cost efficiency
  • More accurately allocate resources
  • Address issues before they arise
  • Reduce time spent manually on tasks
  • Improve accuracy of task tracking and reporting.

It’s not perfect, however. If you’re looking for someone to project manage for you, AI probably isn’t the tech to go for, as it’s unable to take human behaviour or nuance into account. It can make a complex task a little bit easier, but if you need a project manager, it’s better to look in the real world.

Luckily, here at Puddle, we’re pros at project management – so you don’t have to use AI. If you’ve got something you need help with, drop us an email at [email protected] today.
